OUTPUT SPORTS SPONSORS THE INTERACTIVE WEBINARS
I am pleased to announce that Output Sports have kindly agreed to sponsor each of the monthly interactive webinar events.
Firstly, a huge thank you to Martin and the team at Output Sports for exploring this opportunity with me personally. When I spoke with them about the problems I was aiming to solve, our values aligned and resulted in a perfect fit that offers a fantastic solution to engage more practitioners in the immersive interactive webinars.
I have held a personal link with Output Sports for 18 months now. In the lead up to the Tokyo Olympics, I was using their product to objectify training and monitor the Rugby 7s teams, as well as providing feedback to the output sports team on ideas for product development.
Along that journey, the openness to feedback and the willingness to support recommendations and needs from customers epitomised COLLABORATION at its best.
More recently, I was able to collaborate with a Mentee who used the product also, leading up to a European Baseball Competition. Again, we were looking to solve a problem regarding decisions making as a coach around load management, and needed to find some answers.
Output sports was a large factor in that practitioner developing their knowledge and experience as he used one of my units throughout the tournament. If you are interested in reading more, we wrote an article for Output Sports outlining the use and application in that setting. You can read it by clicking below.
With Output Sports being so focused on collaboration, providing solutions for practitioners of different disciplines, amongst gathering information, research and EDUCATING others, the fit is a perfect one. Our focus and values align. One thing I have also noticed in working with them is that they are always looking to support others. They have supported me previously, and they are supporting me in more ways now, but they want to support even more people. Read on and I will explain how!
So why seek sponsorship? Why not just provide these sessions for FREE?
Well, this comes back to values. Personally, I have always taken a stance that we should place value on anything that we seek service for. It comes from a lesson learnt and a feeling of being valued as an intern myself with the US Ski Team. I went through an experience of being paid a nominal amount as an intern, and it made me feel appreciated. It took some of the stresses away. I felt like I was being rewarded for contributing. Ever since, in my time as a S&C coach or leader, I have luckily managed to avoid utilising interns for free. I have at least been able to find some funding for those roles for practitioners to show the value I place on their work.
The same goes for guest speakers. I value their time.
Everyone listening should value their time too. So, I want to at least offer something back to them. This is why these events over the last 18months have been ticketed. To return that value to the speaker who commits at least 4 hours of their time in preparation and to the event itself, is important to me.
So now, by Sponsoring these events, it means Output Sports isn’t just supporting me and Collaborate Sports as a service, they are supporting anyone who speaks at these events by now being able to offer a fee for their time.
The biggest benefit to YOU, is that these monthly interactive webinar sessions are now FREE to those who register to attend LIVE.
This relationship offers so much more though too……
With sponsorship assigned to each session, a small proportion will be allocated to a Practitioner Fund. If speakers prefer to speak for free, this fee will be donated to the fund too. This will allow the opportunity for practitioners to apply for budget to put towards certain personal development opportunities across the year, such as in person and online conferences. At various points across the year this fund will be distributed to people who have attended events, engaged and interacted, and would benefit from such support. I am really excited about seeing what this opportunity can provide for coaches. Keep an eye out on socials to here how these funds get awarded to various practitioners.
I was looking to solve a problem, to provide more opportunities for others, whilst staying true to my values. I can't thank Martin and the team enough for helping provide the solution. I am looking forward to working with you all and excited by what this can bring for those who engage with the opportunities moving forward!
For those who haven't been able to attend these events to date, I hope to see more of you moving forward, so go and sign up to the next event NOW!
